DFX Kids Bike Lessons


Coming to Whistler with your little shredders? The Whistler Mountain Bike Park hosts a series of bike lessons for kids, ages 5 - 16 years old. You can take advantage of a weeklong camp, focusing on Downhill and XC riding (5-14 years old) or sign up for daily lessons (5-16 years old). This is the perfect way for you kids to have an experience they’ll never forget, all while advancing their skills on two wheels.

Lakes, Beaches, and Parks


Enjoy a picnic on the shore of mountain lakes with the family in Whistler. You can play a pick up game of volleyball at Alta Lake Park, take a refreshing swim at Lost Lake, or sim- ply enjoy the beaches and views from the shore.

Hiking


There are unlimited ways to explore the mountain by foot in Whistler. Don’t let the high peaks dissuade you, as there are plenty of kid friendly hikes. Lost Lake park is a wonderful network of double and singletrack trails, perfect for families wanting to enjoy the lower elevation valley trails. For a high alpine experience, take the Whistler Gondola and try the Spearhead loop to Harmony Lake off of the Roundhouse Lodge. Scavenger Hunts


The Whistler Visitor Centre creates season-specific scavenger hunts. This is a great way to get kids active, interact with the environment, and educate them about Whistler. Drop into the Whistler Visitor Centre for a copy, or download them here: Summer or Winter

Whistler Public Library


Marmot Meadows is a space within the Whistler Library where children and their families can learn togeth- er. The Burrow, the program room, is where the library team holds story times and other special activities for children. When it’s not being used for a program, please enjoy time with your child and explore the literacy toy cupboard’s puzzles, blocks, puppets, and more.

Whistler Olymipic Plaza


Whistler knows how to après, and now the whole family can celebrate a great day on the slopes together at Olympic Plaza. Parents can share stories about their day over a warm beverage, while the kids participate in a variety of outdoor activities and entertainment. Family Après is a weekly event throughout the winter season on Monday and Wednesdays. During the Summer, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while the kids play in on the old growth tree themed playground.

Ice Skating


Lace up your skates for a glide around the rinks at the outdoor Whistler Olympic Plaza or indoor at the Meadow Park Sports Centre. If the lakes are frozen, head outside to our winter wonderland.
